Step 1: Import Data

First, to input data such as texts, documents, and media files, users should click on the import tab and select the most appropriate icon for their data type. To import interview transcripts, users should click on transcripts, and to load Word files, PDF documents, and Excel files, they should select the Texts, PDFs, and Tables tab. Second, a dialog window appears, in which users select the field to be imported. The files are inserted into the open MAXQDA project and displayed in the Document System window.

Step 2: Explore Data

MAXQDA makes it easy for researchers to look through their files and understand their data. To explore qualitative data in MAXQDA, double-click on a document in the Document System window, and it will open in the Document Browser.
